Today (Friday) saw the cars take to the amazing Potrero de los Funes circuit for the first time, with the 1hr 20 mins of Free Practice first, followed by the same duration for Pre Qualifying. Even though he’s driven at more tracks than most, it was David’s debut at this circuit and afterwards he admitted that he loved it, saying that it felt like a mixture of Bathurst and Le Mans – but around a lake! He and Jamie were pleased with their day’s work by finishing 7th and 5th fastest in he two sessions. Enrique and Nick – who was also making his inaugural visit to this unique track – struggled with set up in the morning, but radical changes saw them satisfied to end the day 7th and with great potential for tomorrow’s Qualifying, which takes place at 09.00 Argentina time (three hours behind GMT).
